National Forum
From November 4th to 6th, BCSU held its National Forum in Tryavna. The theme of the conference was "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve..." Students and graduates from across the country gathered to consider the example of service and obedience to God that our Lord Jesus Christ left us. These young people discussed the Scriptures in small groups and with many interactive experiences. They thought about the meaning of what they were learning for their churches and student groups and together they sought appropriate ways to respond to Jesus’ call "Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them" (John 13:17).
At the forum, we held our first meeting (in a long time) for graduates. BCSU proposed restoring a ministry among graduates throughout the country and appealed for their help - giving them opportunities to be partners with BCSU in prayer, care for students and student groups, and donation. Most of those present, expressed their desire to receive prayer bulletins and consider options to begin actively helping the movement.
Students dedicated one evening of the conference to prayer and worship. They prayed for other student movements throughout IFES as well as the groups of BCSU that they would be used by God to reach new people and share his good news.
The forum ended with excitement and with a strong desire for us all to participate in service. We pray that this enthusiasm will not falter and all will seek new ways to serve God generously and wholeheartedly.
