Beliefs and Values
BCSU is founded on the central truths of biblical Christianity as outlined in our doctrinal basis. We are a non-denominational organization that unites Christians from different church traditions.
The unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgement.
Both the completely divine and completely human nature working in unity in the person of Jesus Christ.
The divine inspiration and the entire trustworthiness of Holy Scripture (the Bible) and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct as the only direct revelation of God concerning his person and deeds.
The universal sinfulness and guilt of all people since the fall, rendering them subject to God's wrath and condemnation.
Redemption from the guilt, penalty, dominion and pollution of sin, solely through the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ, who acted as our Representative and Substitute.
The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and his ascension to the right hand of God the Father.
The justification of sinners by the grace of God only through faith.
The renewing and regenerating work of the Holy Spirit and his indwelling and continual work in the life of the believer.
The one Holy Universal Church which is the body of Christ to which all true believers belong.
The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the full and final redemption of the world and the resurrection of the dead.
We believe that God has revealed Himself in the Bible in a unique way and that through His word He has shown the way to eternal life in the Kingdom of God. We desire to help students love the Scriptures, to learn how to study them wisely, and to seek ways to faithfully and boldly apply them in their lives.
